Understanding Studio Lighting

The Leica Akademie is proud to present a full day studio lighting photography workshop led by  photographer, Vincent Ricardel. This workshop will focus on the fundamentals of photographic lighting in a Studio environment through a mix of lecture, demonstrations, and hands-on shooting.

Topics include:
Posing subjects to determine mood and feeling
Styling a portrait
Technical controls
Lighting equipment
Camera equipment
Studio etiquette

Who should take this workshop?
This workshop is recommended for a wide variety of participants ranging from amateurs with a working knowledge of camera functions to advanced enthusiasts who would like a better understanding of studio lighting techniques.

A variety of Leica cameras will be available for use during the workshop.

Attendance is strictly limited to 12 participants, so be sure to sign up at your earliest opportunity.

About the Photographer:

Over the course of his 30 year career, Vincent Ricardel has created memorable portraits of legendary artists, musicians, as well as global business and political leaders. His career has spanned across the editorial and commercial world of photography and brings along a strong visual message to every project. His photojournalist roots are evident in the details of his images. He is an avid Leica camera user and has been using the Leica M System as part of his workflow since 1988.
