Barron’s seeks a permanent, part-time Assistant to the Photo Editor on its weekly publication.
The ideal candidate must have strong photo research experience and some photo assigning experience. They should have an understanding of workflow, strong photography background and computer knowledge. Be able to communicate with editors, photo editor, designers, art directors, PR, subjects and photographers. The hours are 3 days per week ,Tuesday-Thursday, 10am-5pm plus 6 weeks full time as acting photo editor.
Additional duties include: Working with the photo editor to compile shoot information Keeping a log of invoices Updating and logging in of photographers info and contracts, record keeping, etc. Opportunities to shoot in house portraits and still life.
