JOB: VP of Broadcast and Digital Technology – San Francisco, CA

KGO Television, the ABC Owned Television station in the Bay Area, has a tremendous opportunity for a VP of Broadcast and Digital Technology with significant management and leadership experience and a strong working knowledge of television and digital production for our 24/7 facility.

The successful candidate will have demonstrable ability to manage multiple, changing priorities. The successful candidate will also have an in-depth knowledge that spans information technology, digital video and audio technologies, RF technologies and file based production workflows.  Requires experience in TV broadcast engineering management including studio and transmitter facility maintenance, capital project planning and implementation, production and on-air operations, scheduling of technical personnel, preparation of operating budgets, as well as a knowledge of and compliance with all government and industry regulations and standards.  Ideally the candidate will be detail oriented and a team player with the ability to support and service other departments including News, Programming, Digital and Creative Services.  A degree in a technical related field or equivalent experience preferred and at least 3 years experience in a primary role in the planning, installation, operation and maintenance of modern studio equipment, transmitter facilities, automation systems, remote control and remote broadcast equipment as well as other equipment typical to a commercial television station.
