BASIC FUNCTION AND RESPONSIBILITY
To support the digital media and visual design strategies at St. Louis Public Radio by assisting with the production and execution of digital media and graphic design content including but not limited to e-mail campaigns, graphic design, photography, video, social media, mobile and desktop applications.

CHARACTERISTIC DUTIES:
Content creation in coordination with various internal departments within STLPR that would include:
Designing and producing e-communications;
Developing graphic design material for digital and print distribution that may include infographics, logos, website and mobile display ads, posters, email and digital publications;
Creating web pages, interfaces, and applications for STLPR’s digital products including the interactive displays in the Public Media Commons and video displays in UMSL at Grand Center;
Photography: Planning, shooting (field and studio), editing and post-production;
Videography: Planning, conducting interviews, shooting (field and studio), editing and post-production;
Provide tutorials to staff on the operation of photographic and video equipment/software.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
An appreciation of public media and a desire to support the mission of public media and nonprofit journalism;
Baccalaureate degree in a related field and at least two years’ experience in photography or digital media arts;
Demonstrated expertise in all aspects of videography and photography, including equipment operation, planning, interviewing, and editing and asset management;
Demonstrated expertise in the creation of e-communications and graphic design;
Advanced skills with digital media production software including, but not limited to, Apple Final Cut Pro, Apple Motion, Apple DVD Studio Pro, and Adobe after Effects, Adobe Dreamweaver, Adobe Photoshop, and related Adobe creative suite tools;
Demonstrated organizational skills to manage multiple projects under deadlines;
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to promote collaboration with staff, interns, and volunteers;
Strong team player with a proactive, service-oriented attitude;
Flexible work style, good sense of humor, and an interest in being part of evolving organization.
