JOB: Photojournalist (GA)

The Marietta Daily Journal and Cherokee Tribune has an immediate opening for a creative and motivated photojournalist. This photojournalist would be based out of The Cherokee Tribune office in Canton Ga., but would also photograph assignments for the MDJ. for news, features and sports in Cobb County. Nights and weekend work will also be expected of our photojournalist. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of experience at a daily newspaper, but recent college graduates with strong internships will be considered.

The photographer must produce photo packages for a wide range of planned and breaking assignments and write clear and concise captions in newspaper style. Efficient digital workflow and Photoshop skills are essential. An in-person interview is required for top candidates. Staff photographers must have reliable transportation and use their own professional digital SLR camera, lenses and lighting.
