Blog and Online Community Internship
Blue Chalk Media is hiring a creative, motivated and detail-oriented intern for summer 2014 to play a part in shaping a new online community focused on visual storytelling in the digital age.

The intern will create and manage content and social media for a growing online community.

The ideal candidate should be an excellent writer, copyeditor, and online curator. Video and photography skills are a plus. A passion for, and understanding of, digital communication tools is a must.

The Online Community Intern will:
Curate and post relevant content
Manage content workflow
Write and edit articles
Produce multimedia articles, if appropriate
Manage social media accounts on a daily basis
Analyze trends and report on findings
Occasionally live report from relevant industry events
Create/manage content on other digital assets and client projects
The Online Community Intern ideally has:
Experience writing and editing for an online publication
Experience managing an online community
A passion for digital, journalistic storytelling and its evolution
A love for new technologies
An understanding of online communication tools
Efficient research/curation skills
Candidates must be working toward or have completed a bachelors degree in a relevant field. Graduate students encouraged to apply.

This intern reports to the director of digital communications. It is paid, full-time for a minimum of 12 weeks and based in Brooklyn, NY. Start and end dates are flexible, but must fall in between May 1 and September 1.
