1. JOB PURPOSE
Provides professional level digital imagery for the use in corporate-level marketing and communications that increase awareness of and support for Clemson University’s mission and vision. Provides digital imaging correction and manipulation services. Assists in the organization and maintenance of Creative Services photographic digital assets, scheduling of photography assignments and project management documentation. Assists in the management, coordination and development of the student and freelance photographer pool. Approaches all work in a collaborative manner, strategizing the optimal way to convey brand messages, themes or story lines to desired audiences through the artful and well-choreographed use of multiple media platforms.
2. JOB FUNCTIONS
Produces expert level photographic imaging via digital or conventional photo techniques and plans, directs, implements needed props, backgrounds, location, etc. for marketing or public information purposes including after hours and weekend assignments as required by University and statewide clients E/35%
Provides assistance in the organization and maintenance of Creative Services photographic digital assets, scheduling of photography assignments and project management documentation. Assists in the management, coordination and development of the student and freelance photographer pool E/35%
Provides expert level digital imaging correction & manipulation services E/25%
Performs regular routine maintenance on cameras and associated equipment and keep management abreast of equipment and supply needs and new technology developments. E/5%
A high school diploma and journey-level work experience in a related field.
PREFERRED IN ADDITION TO THE MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Professional work experience in photography.
PAY & WORK SCHEDULE:
Standard Hrs: 37.5; Band: 04 ($ 25,627.00 – $ 32,000)
Frequent after hours and weekend work is required.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Knowledge in the operation of professional photographic equipment. Skill to operate photographic retouch and digital management software (Photoshop, Lightroom and Adobe Premier). Ability to effectively compose an image and have an understanding of proper light settings for natural, studio, speed lights. Ability to approach work in a collaborative manner and communicate effectively. Ability to coordinate and oversee work of student & freelance photographers. Ability to maintain a digital asset management, archive and reporting process.
