Panel Discussion: Presentations & Elevator Pitches

Telling Your Story: Strategies for Elevator Talks and Portfolio Presentations

http://asmpdc.org/education/event/info?id=477&fb_source=message

As photographers, we love to “let the pictures do the talking” because “a picture is worth a thousand words.” We rely on our websites, PDF portfolios, email blasts, and blogs. However, when it comes to marketing ourselves, the actual words we speak face-to-face with potential clients will often make or break the opportunity. Whether it’s during a formal presentation or a chance encounter, being prepared will make the difference between success and failure.

Join us on Wednesday, October 17, 2012to hear Paul Fetters, Judy Davis, David Wiegold, and Rebecca Drobis share their strategies for how to optimize those opportunities. They’ll share their 30 second “elevator pitches” as well as their more formalized portfolio presentations. They’ll talk about what works, what doesn’t work, how to deal with anxiety, the importance of story-telling and scripting, and much more.

Don’t miss this important program.
