WPOW: 10 Tips Tuesday tonight at Nat Geo!

WPOW Mentorship: Ten Tips Tuesday
Tomorrow 7/19 at National Geographic Magazine

Ten Tips Tuesday is a monthly educational event hosted by WPOW’s Mentorship program. Most events are restricted to mentorship members, however this month’s event is open to all of WPOW and to all visual journalism professionals. Please RSVP.

Nathalie Applewhite, managing director of the Pulitzer Center on Crisis Reporting* will give tips on how to write and submit grant proposals. The Pulitzer Center is a non-profit journalism organization that supports coverage of international, under-reported topics.

Photographer Karen Kasmauski will show us work she did after receiving a grant. Kasmauski has a company called Little Black Dog Productions that “creates communication strategies and media on global health and global change issues.” She has photographed 25 major stories for National Geographic Magazine.

Please bring food or drink to share!

This is a great topic for this economy.  See you there.
